UnderWater UnderGround: Final Music Perfomance
Join us this Sunday at Clemmons Family Farm for an inspiring, music-filled gathering led by KeruBo and Stephanie Wilson. They’ll share new work from the UnderWater, UnderGround Residency, talk about the stories behind their songs, and invite the community into an easy, uplifting afternoon of conversation, creativity, and connection.
First Landing Performance
Join us for a communal song performance honoring the First Landing of Africans in the Americas. Together, we will remember those who first arrived in Virginia in 1619. Through the power of call and response, we will lift up their strength, autonomy, and survival—while reminding ourselves of the beauty and resilience we create when we raise our voices together.
Zienzele Foundation Fundraiser
This final show of the month is in honor of the Zienzele Foundation, an incredible organization that supports women in rural Zimbabwe. Through basket weaving and other small enterprises, women-led cooperatives are able to earn income and care for over 1,000 orphans impacted by HIV/AIDS.
Their work represents resilience, dignity, and the power of collective care.
Please consider supporting them: www.zienzelefoundation.org
Every donation matters. Every woven basket holds a story of survival.
Milton Inclusion Festival
Inclusion is more than a theme—it’s a necessity. Too often, individuals and families who don’t speak the dominant language, who hold different cultural values, or who live with disabilities are left out of systems that should serve us all. I’ve seen firsthand how painful exclusion can be—from the mothers I support as a cultural worker to the youth I guide through music.
At this festival, I sing for those who have been made invisible. I sing to remind us that equity means more than just access—it means belonging.
2025 Cots Walk AND Performance
I’ll be joining the powerful Ali McGuirk and other local voices as part of a community concert supporting COTS (Committee on Temporary Shelter). This event is more than a musical gathering—it’s a call to action for our unhoused neighbors and those navigating the sharp edges of housing insecurity.
